Automator小机器人 - 快速上传、下载

自从用了Tiger OS 10.4后就一直把它当10.3来用（汗），Spotlight对应Quicksilver，Dashboard对应Konfabulator，etc... 没有注意到这个Automator小机器人。
然后今天在TUAW上关注"24 hours of Leopard"时，看到了关于Automator的功能更新，才“发现”原来我的10.4也有这个小机器人 =.= 这是选择性失忆吧

于是叫出机器人，看了一下。。。

好歹找到一个对我比较有用而快捷的功能，

经常给某人上传歌曲，不知道有机器人的时候就非常烦琐的进行如下操作： 1. FTP软件打开，2. 找到History然后连接，3. 再从自己的硬盘一步一步的找到我的MUSIC文件夹，4. 点击指定给我的文件夹，5. 全选然后上传，6. 然后FTP软件还打开一个“排队”的窗口，恩，就这样子。

Automator顾名思义就是自动机器人，在Automator底下只要设置好了，以后在桌面建立一个快捷路径就很方便了： 1. 点击shortcut，2. 直接跳进MUSIC文件夹，3. 选我要上传的文件夹，4. 点Select，然后FTP软件自动打开，自动连接，自动找到指定给我的文件夹，直接上传而没有了让人心烦的排队的小窗口，这些步骤一次过就完成了，速度还非常快。实在方便。

同理，下载也是一样的。非常适合我这个懒人。

恩，从来没用过Twitter，不过看到相关文章，5 Ways to Use Twitter on your iPhone，可以好好研究一下。

用MobileSafari打开 http://pockettweets.com/ 后，顺便注册了一个，Livy这个名字被人抢先了，只好用yotiao，知道我叫yotiao的人应该不少 ^^

在iPhone上也能看PDF, WORD, EXCEL, TXT

可能很多人都知道其实iPhone的Safari是可以看pdf, doc, xls, txt的，但我却是刚刚才学到的噢。

方法很简单，

1. 先从Installer里面装lighttpd（有人说lighttpd比Apache更好，而且网上介绍这个更少占用系统资源），然后Mac的用户可以利用Cyberduck和Openssh互连，找到/usr/local/etc/lighttpd.conf并下载，用TextEdit打开在最后一行加入:

dir-listing.activate = “enable”

2. 再把这个lighttpd.conf上载回去覆盖。然后就会发现在/private/var/root/多了一个"Sites"的文件夹

3. 到Safari输入127.0.0.1，您会看到以下的画面，这是因为index.html的缘故

4. 把index.html删掉，就看到以下的目录了，把任意doc, xls, pdf, txt丢到/private/var/root/Sites里，哇哈哈。当然，太大的文件慎用。

用了两个多星期，比起原配的苹果键盘来，这新键盘手感好多了，打起字来和在iBook上打字一样舒服。键盘上还多了两个USB口，一边用来给Treo充电一边接上U盘实在很方便。

最近Apple的电视广告，Why you'll love a Mac，做的很贴切，特别是Viruses, Restarting, iLife, Network, 笑死我了～那个演PC的人长的有点象Bill Gates....嘿嘿。

其实Mac也不是不好找软件，MacUpdate就是其中一个大本营，还有VersionTracker，还有iSPUG（for xx)，还有macserialjunkie（for xx），demonoid，。。

IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL for Mac users

Dear Apple Customer,

Apple is voluntarily recalling certain lithium-ion rechargeable batteries that were sold worldwide, in systems and separately, from October 2004 through May 2005 for use with the following computers: 12-inch iBook G4, 12-inch PowerBook G4, 15-inch PowerBook G4. These batteries were manufactured by LG Chem, Ltd. of South Korea. Apple has initiated a worldwide exchange program and will provide you with a new replacement battery, free of charge. This program is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and other international safety authorities.

Issue: The affected batteries could overheat, posing a fire hazard. Apple received six consumer reports of these batteries overheating. Apple urges you to stop using your battery and to order a replacement battery immediately. If you must temporarily use your computer with the battery, do not leave it unattended and check for signs of overheating.

Product: The recalled batteries include those with model numbers A1061, A1078, and A1079 and serial numbers that begin with HQ441 through HQ507 and 3X446 through 3X510. To view the model and serial numbers labeled on the bottom of the battery, you must remove the battery from the computer. The battery serial number is printed in black or dark-grey lettering beneath a bar code.

Please use the chart below to match your computer with the affected battery model number and serial number range. If your battery's serial number does not match the requirements listed below, you do not have to exchange your battery.

When you receive the replacement battery, please use the same shipping packaging and the included prepaid shipping label to return the recalled battery to Apple. If you do not have access to the website listed above, you can call Apple at (65) 68351812 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., local time, Monday to Friday, for further assistance.

Going to say goodbye to Panther

On the heels of the Mac OS X 10.4 announcement, Apple has made available the Mac OS X 10.3.9 update for Panther in the software update. Besides the brief summary of improvements given in the software update, I spotted more details for Safari 1.3 over at Dave Hyatt's Blog, here are some of the highlights:

Page Load Performance
Safari 1.3 loads pages overall 35% faster than 1.2 as measured by IBench. In addition to improving the overall page load, Safari 1.3 will display content sooner than 1.2 did, so that subresources don't hold up the initial display of the page.

JavaScript Performance
We have substantially improved the performance of the JavaScript engine in Safari. I encourage you to check out Safari 1.3 on this benchmark for example to see the improvement relative to 1.2.

HTML Editing
Safari 1.3 supports HTML editing, both at the Objective-C WebKit API level and using contenteditable and designMode in a Web page. The new Mail app in Tiger uses WebKit for message composition. You can write apps that make use of WebKit's editing technology and deploy them on Panther and Tiger.

Compatibility and Security
Compatibility and security are our number one priority in WebCore, and Safari 1.3 has many important compatibility fixes. For example, percentage heights on blocks, tables and cells now work much better in Safari 1.3. min/max-width/height support has been added. More of the table-related CSS properties are now supported. DOM methods like getComputedStyle are now supported.

The DOM Exposed
The entire level 2 DOM has been exposed a public API in Objective-C. This means various holes have been filled in Safari's DOM level 2 support. In addition to exposing the DOM to Objective-C, the JS objects that wrap DOM objects can also be accessed from Objective-C, allowing you to examine and edit the JS objects themselves to inject properties onto them that can then be accessed from your Web page.

XSLT
Safari 1.3 on Panther now supports XSLT. 10.3.9 includes libxslt, and Safari uses this excellent library to handle XSLT processing instructions it encounters in Web pages.

Plugin Extensions
For those of you writing WebKit apps, a new Objective-C WebKit plugin API is supported that lets you put Cocoa widgetry into the Web page more easily. In addition enhancements to the Netscape Plugin API (made in conjunction with Mozilla Foundation) have been implemented for plugins that require cross-browser compatibility.

Besides Safari's update, FireFox has also been updated to 1.0.3.
